To ensure students achieve their full potential and maximize progress lessons should also cover Ear Training, Scales, Sight Reading, Improvisation, Arranging and Harmony. Longer lessons are required to cover all this material in enough detail for the student to become a fully rounded musician.
To ensure a well-rounded musical education I recommend students study the ABRSM Curriculum in addition to their regular course of study after about two years of study. Additional time is required during the lesson to cover all the necessary areas of this curriculum.
